Study visits within the framework of the project "Breaking stereotypes - Building Tolerance"
Three study visits were held in Riga, Narva and Vilnius. The representatives of partner organizations have visited different governmental, educational, non-governmental organizations, learned about integration and antidiscrimination programmes, projects.
The project "Breaking stereotypes - Building Tolerance" is launched
The overall goal of the project is to contribute to combating racism and fostering tolerance of young people in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania by fighting traditional and new stereotypes, training specialists working with youth and education of young people. .
The project is financed by EU programme of Fundamental Rights and Citizenship.
The project included research, study visits, training activities for specialists working with youth and for young people, manual on antiracist education.
Summer school on Human Rights Education

Vecpiebalga, Latvia
Aims of the summer school:
- to extend the competence of youth workers and leaders in Human Rights education;
- to enable participants to act as trainers and multipliers for Human Rights education with young people at national and regional level.
Young people from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, UK, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus have participated in the project.
The programme of the summer school included workshops on Human Rights, discussions, simulation games, Open space, elaboration of follow-up plans, creative activities, etc.
The project is supported by European Youth Foundation.
Project "Promotion of Diversity and Non-discrimination Education at Schools of Regions of Latvia"
The project will be implemented within the framework of the LED IV project/ The project includes: preparation of manual on intercultural learning, seminar for schoolteachers and activities which will be carried out by participants of the seminar in their schools.

The Championing CSR Across Borders project study visit
7-8 September participants of the project "Championing CSR Across Borders" will visit Riga.
Training seminar “Role of youth NGOs in promotion of tolerance and diversity among young people”
From 31 July to 7 August 2009 young people from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia have participated in the seminar. The main themes of the activity were: youth NGOs; Human Rights education; Intercultural Learning; promotion of tolerance, diversity and anti-discrimination; youth participation and inclusion, development of leaders skills. The seminar was held in Vecpiebalga, Latvia.
The project was supported by European Youth Foundation.
